"Moral Fortitude" is a term we have all forgotten. This used to be the driving force that lead many of our forefathers to battle in the days of old. Back then, people believed in God, believed in the freedoms granted by God to live and let live and to defend our way of life if need be.
"Moral Fortitude" is provided to the individual who has not only has a good self image of himself, but believes that God has looked upon him and has forgiven him of all transgressions through the Act of Jesus Christ on the Cross. The individual now walks in Faith and Love toward God and believes God loves him.
"Moral Fortitude" is the trust an individual has that he is doing the right thing based upon his understanding of Biblical Morality.
All of our laws in this country originally were based upon Biblical Theology. It wasn't until the late 1800's that Case Law was introduced into our Ivy League Law Schools. Before then a large book was relied heavy upon to form legal opinions. (I'll stop here and revisit this one in the future.)
