Gossip and Hearsay?

So, Day 2 of the Sequester.  Biggest thing I've heard is the Powers-that-Be released around 2,000 illegal aliens that were being detained on the deportation list.  What were they being detained for?  They were caught in criminal activity.

The news is reporting this as "hundreds".  It is actually around 2,000.  I think 2,000 is a bit more, conceptually, than 100's.  But who am I to voice concern?  Just a regular guy who goes to work every day wondering if my family will be safe while I am away from them, that's who.

I have also heard that these 2,000 criminal, illegal, aliens, were being held in Arizona.  Kind of a coincidental release if you ask me.  The state sets in motion laws, but since the Feds are the only ones with the power of deportation, 2000 get set free due to budget cuts.  Darkly ironic.

Oh, another thing I hear in the midst of everything else is ammo.  The various departments of government are stockpiling weapons, ammo, and targets.  I have heard that all this is for training.  I have also heard that this training is for homeland combat.  I have also heard the the bad guys they are training against are American Citizens.

My question still remains, why does American Industry continue to do business with government agencies knowing what we know about the ambitions to disarm American Citizens by lethal force if necessary?

Talking about gossip and hearsay though.  Hey, it's what we all hear on the news every day.  Stuff like the POTUS is gunning for our guns and is planning on using the UN for back-up because, as we all know, the UN is already here in force.  Other stuff, like the sequester, is a big smoke screen.

The sequester is only 82 billion or so dollars.  Compare that with 16 Trillion national debt.  Compare that with 5 Trillion.  It is just pocket change and just a fear tactic.  It's like me saying I am going to have to cut 5 cents from our grocery budget because the kids have failed to keep their grades up.  Just pocket change people.

Just had an epiphany early this morning.  It answers the question of how the People can war against its government without weapons.  The answers is goods, services, property and the willingness to sell such things to the government.

Here in the U.S.A., our government does not own anything, really.  Anything like industry.  In order to get goods and services, the government enters into contracts with industry to supply certain things for mutually agreed upon price.  That's how it works.  There are no government owned industries in this country.

So, if all industry would boycott the federal government, industry could wage war against the government without taking up arms.  It would be an economic war.  Industry could say no more planes, cars, boats, trucks, computers, plane tickets, vacations etc. to government entities.

We are all worried that they are coming for our guns.  Well, let's go after theirs.  Let's no longer provide weapons to government organizations  Another thought on this would be arms and ammo manufacturers in the U.S. ought to limit sales to federal and state contracts to allow for a true balance of power.  In other words, why should the government have more fire power than the citizens?  They shouldn't!  So, I say, don't allow the government to stockpile so much that all the shelves are empty when we regular folk want to buy some ammo and arms.

#2 The Second Amendment

Without over analysing this issue, I should first say that I enter into this topic as a regular guy without the vast law education as some, or most, of our popular political leaders and giants.  That said, the 2nd Amendment is the safeguard inserted by the founding fathers of this nation to be the last bastion against a tyrannical and rogue government.

As a regular guy, I share a lot in common with a high majority of the citizens of these United States.  And when we all read the Bill of Rights, namely, the 2nd Amendment, we understand some very simple stuff.  First, we have the right to keep guns and ammo in our homes, our cars and other various storage places within our reach and control.  This is an open ended topic for us which means we believe the 2nd Amendment does not define the type or amount of arms we can keep.

Second, we believe that we can carry weapons and ammo on our person, concealed or otherwise.  We do not believe that these arms are limited to firearms as the text does not imply one or the other.  It just says "arms".

Thirdly, we believe in our right to form organized militias.  These militias, we believe, would have structure not unlike a formal military system with some exceptions.  The militias would be formed to protect our localities and be available just in case our government needs some extra help in the defence of our nation again hostile enemies.  Otherwise, the militias are groups made up of common people not employed by the federal or state governments.

Finally, we believe that these rights are recognized by the 2nd Amendment, not given.  We believe that these rights shall not be infringed upon, but we are able to make free use of these rights as we deem fit.

All of that said and done, we also believe that the 2nd Amendment has already been infringed upon, in one way or another, by our federal, state, and local governments.  Concealed Carry laws are an infringement.  Right to Carry laws are also an infringement as we need no other law than the 2nd Amendment to cover us.  While hunting regulations are needed as a form of conservation of our beautiful resources and wildlife, telling us what we can carry while we are hunting is a terrible infringement and shows the ignorance of our law makers in areas of self defence and the extreme dangers face by hunters every season.

I can add more, but this servers as a good primer to what average Americans think.  Laws have been made that expect to control the 2nd Amendment, however, what is on paper is there as a recognition of rights, not a formulation of rights.  So, laws written to subjugate the Bill of Rights are written in vane as the Bill of Rights is not law but recognition of natural, universal, human rights that all people share and the our Constitution recognizes.

A little update to what regular people really think:

#1 It's the Economy

"It's the Economy stupid."  We have all heard this before and it's becoming quite a cliché.  So much so that our leaders are ignoring it.  But, I must say, it is the Economy you stupid people!!

Why is that?  We owe almost so much that we cannot count it.  If 1 Trillion isn't enough, suggestions have been made to create a few Trillion Dollar coins to help us with the national debt.  Is that really going to work?  I mean, what does China think about it?  All they want is their money back.  They might even take a little bit of land to cover the debt.

What was that I said?  A little land?  Yes.  Our nation owes so much that our land is now on the table.  Don't believe me?  O.K.  What happens when you personally do not pay your debt?  Creditors come to get your stuff.  First, they want your money.  If they can't get that, they file suit and try to get your money.  You then begin to scramble because you know you owe them money.  You begin to sell stuff.  If that is enough, you might be free.  If, after you sell all your stuff and you are still being pursued, you land will be up for grabs.  Homelessness is would be a real scary thing.

Ever though of what it would be like to have a foreign government come in a crash our little part?  Never?  You got to be kidding me.  Go call your representatives now and tell them you want them to stop spending and also tell them to cut costs and pay our debts.  There are threats to this nation and the biggest threat is our economy and our lazy attitude towards paying our debtors.

Introductions

I have another blog on here that mainly talks about Linux.  In an effort to "keep the main thing the main thing", I am opening a new blog on politics.  This will mainly be about regular issues that face regular people every day.

What are those issues?  You may have your own and I have mine.  Since I can't read your mind, I will give you all a piece of mine.  The main issues facing us today are Economy, the 2nd Amendment, Abortion, Healthcare, and Crime.  And a shall not leave out Religion.  Religion cannot be removed from our Constitution nor the Founding of this country nor the great History of this country.

So, each blog post will deal with these issues and how they are being addressed in our Government.
